Kioun Kim was born in 1934. From 1963 until 1968 he studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia, on a scholarship.

    Kioun lives in Pennsylvania, in the beautiful Pocono Mountains. Although he is prolific in many mediums, and has painted a wide variety of subjects, he is well-known for his intricate portraits, pencil work and oil paintings.

    This award winning artist has exhibited in numerous regional and national juried art shows. Over the last four decades Kim has several successful one man shows to his credit. His art works are represented in private collections in the United States, Canada and in Europe.
